Sam & Tony- Engaged!

ST. SP-1.TR.blog

I really love being able to photograph people where they are most comfortable.  When I talked with Sam & Tony about where we should do their engagement photos, Sam said that Tony wanted to have pictures taken on his Families’ farm.

My heart was singing.

Brody turns 5!

BD. SP-1.TR.blog

I love being able to photograph on location.  Love it.

Good times to be had at the Fire station (Brody’s Father is a firefighter for Minneapolis).  We were able to have full access with instructions to get out of the way- quick- if a fire call came in.  No calls.  Just smiles.

Oh Brody.  You know I love the fact that I get to photograph you every year.  I’ve loved watching you grow up.  Theresa & Curt, thank you so much for including me in his life.  I love every minute.

Lyndsey & Dylan- Married!

LD. SP-7.TR2.blog

Even though I don’t mind the snow, it feels fitting to blog today a beautiful wedding from when the grass was green & the weather was warm.  Lyndsey & Dylan are high school sweethearts, and perfect together.  Their day was filled with so much joy.

Theresa & Mark- Engaged!

WF-223.TR.blog

When a couple tells me that they want to have their engagement or wedding photos on a farm, my heart skips a beat.  I love the country and the life that goes with it.  Animals are so unpredicable and hold a special place in my heart.  When Theresa told me that her & Mark wanted their engagement pictures take on his families’ farm, along with her family, I was thrilled (more on their family shoot a little later).

What a stellar day it was.  We included their steers, their two puppies, old buildings around the farm, and Mark’s Grampa’s truc.  Not only did we get beautiful portraits of them, but we got very candid moments that were unplanned.  I loved every minute.

A new look, a new me….

The last year has been- crazy.

I’ve been working on this new site, along with Ryan at Second Street Creavtive, for better then a year.  Well, about a year-and-half.  We started working together in about September of 2011.  Everything was on track for a launch scheduled sometime in early 2012 (Jan/Feb/ March), when life happened.  I found out that my husband and I were expecting and I was diagnosed with hyperemesis gravidarum.  I was sick and it stuck with me throughout the entire 9+ months.  In October of 2012, this beautiful little girl arrived and changed our lives (more on her a little later).  We couldn’t be happier.  We are truly blessed.

Meet our Sweet Gertie Lu:

Needless to say, my website was put on hold.  A very, very long hold.

Things are back on track now, with lot’s of things to talk about with the new me!  More blogging, more posts, tons of weddings, families, and many updates on what I’ve been up too….

Stay tuned & thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoy my new look and new site as much as I do…
